Same sex marriages.
Same sex marriages is it right? I think not. I strongly desagree with the approval of such marital unities being permitted in our society. Its unethical and goes against the teachings of the bible. Man was made to marry a woman not to marry another man or a woman to marry another woman. Homosexuality has been around for ages but that doesnt make it right for homosexuals and lesbians to get married. Its wrong point blank. I have nothing against homosexuals or lesbians if thast what they choose then so be it, its still wrong though. There is no religion that I know of that states that homosexuality is not wrong or is accepted in the religous teachings of that church.
Inconsideration thoughts by the able-bodied?
I have seen for myself how the physically-challenged were "challenged" in the subway lifts, the train itself and also in the malls too. For instance, the lifts are basically meant for the old and aged with movement difficulties, people with baby prams and, most important of all, the physically disabled who have no other means of reaching to the concourse or platforms, other than by utilising the lifts. But most times, I witness that the youngsters and people with no difficulties in walking were rushing and crowding into the lifts when clearly, there are those with movement restrictions around who are in need of the lift space being deprived of the usage, only to be told:" Wait for the next lift!" straight in the face point-blank!Now, are we living in a so-call 'gracious' society, where paying lip-service of helping the less fortunate is only done only when the VIPs are there to grace a whatever-theme-is-called event, or is it suppose to be done sincerely from the heart? Whatever it is, be it anywhere it may be, being considerate at all times to anyone is DEFINITELY a must. Especially to the less fortunate, we must never forget that they had been deprived of a part of...
Being black in America
I recently responded to a discussion on here of someone who said they were proud to be white. I felt that that was great. He was standing up for his culture and proclaiming what he felt was true. Then he went on to say how America is basically subserviant to black culture. he started going on how it is not fair that blacks have their own tv channel, Dr. Martin Luther King Day and black history month. When I read this I was appalled. I though his discussion was going to be uplifting for his own race, but instead it seemed as if he were trying to put down mine. Why do we have our own music channel and our own month? Well for those who have wonderd these questions I'm going to answer them now.Firstly, we have B.E.T. Before I answer this I'll ask you something. How many channels can you think of right now that are for black people. How many black people do you see on television compared to white people? I cannot think of too many. Sometimes I would like to se more of myself on television. There are very few black movies and sometimes that is just what people need, to be around other people like themselves. I have no problem with hite people at all, but ssometimes this is just what...
Pelosi on Letterman

boy killed in bed by gun gang
A CHURCH-going schoolboy was gunned down as he slept yesterday. The boy - who turned 15 two days ago - was shot several times at point blank range by two men who burst into his home. His sister, who had also been in bed, desperately gave him first aid but he died before reaching hospital. Two men in their late teens or early 20s were seen running off.Det Supt Gary Richardson said: "This does not appear as a botched burglary. I believe the house was specifically targeted."But he said officers did not know who it was the suspects believed they would find. The teenager, described as a "lovely churchgoing boy", lived in Peckham, South London, with his Nigerian parents and older sister. The shooting happened just a street away from where 10-year-old Damilola Taylor was stabbed to death in 2000.Police would not name the victim as his mother is away and had not been told.
DO I Stay or Do I Go? Truly need advice
I am looking for advice from people who have truly "been there and done that." My husband and I are having some major problems. We have been married just over a year and a half now. Things were great in the beginning, and now they are quite rocky. He tends to have these immature temper tantrums and threaten to leave when things aren't going the way he would like for them to. Yesterday he had one of these and actually packed up his stuff and left. I am personally tired of putting myself down just to make him happy and let him, without saying a word. He of course was just trying to prove a point and returned withing twenty minutes, feeling really stupid because he then had to carry all of his stuff back in and unpack it. For example yesterdays fight stemmed from me saying that I was going to take the dogs out for a quick run, could he please listen to make sure the baby didn't wake up. He took it as a personal attack, and assumed I meant he should be taking the dogs out. When really all I was saying is, the baby will be up soon, please listen for him. He does this alot. He takes the defensive on most topics. I just honestly feel worn out. I get so tired of tiptoing around in my own...
would you feel hurt too?
My sister ended up engaged on New Years Eve - and then it was thrown on me a couple of weeks later that they wanted to run away to Vegas to get married. Didn't tell me a date at the time, and my sister knows I really do not have the means to just drop everything and fly (I am in Kamloops she is in Surrey) so I told her point blank there is no way I could have the means to come (she basically in no uncertain terms asked me to pay my own way there...and yeah)So then just yesterday I come across my other sisters entry in Livejournal, and I find out not only is her fiance paying for my other sister to go, that she asked my other sister to be the Maid of Honor, and that really hurt ... because she told me years ago if she ever got married, I would be in that role. Okay fine. Big deal she changed her mind, nothing I can do about that right??But I think the major MAJOR thing which is bothering me the most about this, is that her fiance is paying for our other sister to come, but they never thought of that for me. And im the one getting guilt tripped for not being able to go...How would you feel? I know right now I feel really really hurt...and I don't know how to come out and...

Companies who stalk you...
Anyone in Canada, do you know if a company can do this?Okay... I will admit this was a dumb idea, but a year or so ago I took out a payday loan with Cash Factory. It wasn't a big loan. I paid on it once, and fell behind on the second payment. Of course I still owe them money, I don't doubt it. I also know from the time I took the money out, they tacked on 70 percent interest.... quite a bit and over the legal limit in Canada. Anyways... I fell behind on the loan and I couldn't pay it back. I ended up going on leave from work and it fell behind. Okay I am not saying I don't owe the debt because I know I do. So... a few months passes, and I lose my cellphone number. Okay fine. Then I find out they went looking for my MSN user name, and one of their employees added me to MSN Messanger. They were talking like they knew me personally, so I thought it was one of my friends from some of the online sites I visit. Then she admitted to me that she was the manager of Cash Factory, and that I needed to come in and make a payment - even though I had told them I wasn't employed. I blocked and deleted her from MSN and filtered my MSN space so they couldn't go in there again and read personal...
Hunting - Sport Or Murder?
Every year, my partners Dad goes Moose hunting with a group of his buddies. More often than not, they "get one" and the person who fires the fatal shot is usually regarded as a hero within his group. The first year I spent in Canada I remember seeing them bring the moose to the Garage at the park where my partner and his dad worked (His dad is the boss), to cut it up into the different cuts of meat. Seeing them bringing in these huge animal parts made me feel sick and I had to leave. Hearing them laughing, drinking and talking like it was the best thing they'd ever done. I bit my tongue and looked pointedly at my partner who got the hint and we left. I don't know WHY I reacted that way. I guess it was the thought of the way it died. It wasn't a human way for that animal to die. I was offered Moose to try a few weeks later by my partners dad and I point blank refused. He didn't get why I was so upset about it. I'm a meat eater. Animals are supposed to be killed in a humane way, not with a single shot where they can suffer and die slowly and painfully. I've seen photos of this group with the dead Moose strung up behind them like a trophy. It isn't Sport, it's murder in my...

I know right now I feel really really hurt...and I don't know how to come out and...
underrated actor
To my mind, John Cusack is one of the most underrated actor. He never fails to deliver a sensitive portrayal of every role he has played. I strongly recommend the following movies to validate my claim: 1)Say Anything; 2)True Colors; 3)City Hall; 4)Runaway Jury 5) Serendipity 6) Grosse Point Blank
It isn't Sport, it's murder in my...
point blank discussions
Did anyone see Alexandra Pelosi on Letterman last night. She asked David point blank if he took his son to church, and stressed how important it was to do so. What is up with that? To my mind that is just as inappropriate as an evangelical getting up in someones face asking if they have been sav
boy killed in bed by gun gang
