computer keyboards can be dirtier than a toilet:study
think twice before eating those dropped crumbs off your computer keyboard-you mingh as well be eating off a toilet seat, according to a new study on the amount of germs on keyboards. a study by british consumer magazine "which?computing" asked a mmicrobiologist to examine for bugs on 33 keyboards in a typical london office,a toilet seat and a toilet door handle. four keyboards were judged potential health hazards and the microbiologist recommended the removal of one keyboards as it had 150 times the pass limit of becteria-five times filthier than the swabbed toilet seat. "most people don't give muth thought to the grime that builds up on their pc,but if you don't clean your computer, you might as well eat your lunch off the toilet."said sarah kidner, editor of "which?comuting"in a statement. the study found that eating lunch at desks is the main cause of a bug-infested keyboard, dropped crumbs and food encourages the growth of millions of bacteria. poor personal hygiene, such as not washing hands after going to the toilet, may also add to the dirtiness of keyboards. but despite the health hazad of a dirty keyboard,a survey of 4.000 people by the magazine found one in 10 people...
Do you use external keyboards for your laptop
I find it very hard using my thinkpad and so bought myself an external usb keyboard. Laptop keys are very soft and get damaged very easily and when i work here at mylot i need it very much so I use my external keyboard much often and seldom use my notebook keypads. i even got a external mouse too So i stay far away from ny notebook and work. This way don't have to stress my eyes too lol
Does anyone know how to play an instrument?
I myself play the clarinet of 7 years. Keyboard/organ a bit but not two rhythms at once just chords, and guitar I'm trying to get better at for like the past two years. I'm okay i think at guitar but not very good. Clarinet of course is my fav to play though=] I would love to learn how to play piano and the harp, but they seem a bit complicated to learn on a novice level. What instruments can you play or would you like to learn?
My Keyboard! Pleas Help Computer Gurus!
I have problems with my wrists from working data entry for 4 years. I have to use an ergonomic keyboard and have done for the last 12 years. Now, I think, my old keyboard is soon to give up the ghost. I've found a few similiar ones and one almost just like it, but they are older models-of course. We have a new computer that has Vista. We have never had any trouble with it and didn't have any trouble hooking up my old keyboard when we got the new computer. Here is my question, for the computer guru's, do you think I will have trouble replacing this keyboard with a similiar working older model? As long as it recognized this one, it should recognize another one...right....right? Any advice would be appreciated!
Goodbye Old Friend.....Sob.............
Last week, or so, I did a discussion asking questions about changing out my ergonomic keyboard. My ol workhorse is about 13 years old and is just starting to act up. Even though I think it may just need a cleaning I'd sure hate for the thing to go out on me, when I'm typing one of my enlightened and marvy discussions! Heh! Anyway, I've been looking for a new one. Friday my man brought me a Microsoft Natural keyboard. He said that a lady at work had tried it and didn't like it, so I should try it to see if I liked it and then we could get me a new one. Well we plugged it in and it's pretty nice. Some of the keys are in a different place and there isn't a 'tab' key in the middle, which I'm used to. But really, how often do I use the 'tab' key? I used it over the weekend and then on Monday my man said I could keep it. His boss told him just to give it to me. My man offered to pay for it, but his boss said not to worry about it. So I have a practically brandnew keyboard, that's just a bit dusty from sitting on a shelf out of it's box. Anyone have any recommendations to clean the dust out of it? Also any recommendations to find out what all these extra keys do? And...

A way to keep from erasing the letters of keyboard
I always ended up having to change a good keyboard because the letters would disappear and my eyes are not getting any better.[em]lol[/em] I was really mad because one gets attached to these things. A friend of mine was once at my house while I was muttering why didn´t they make keyboards better. She taught me what to do the next time I bought a new keyboard. That was the last time I spent money in that. It´s simple: the first thing you do is to paint it with colourless nail polish. It will last forever and you can clean it with any kind of cleaner you have at home. Nothing will harm the keyboard except, probably a nail polish remover.[em]happy[/em]
Got my eyes diluated and ordered my glasses
Well I got a ride down to the Mall today and went into get my eyes diluted - the drops put in - then I went to Sears to order my reading glasses. So I just finished ordering them and then I noticed that I had somehow lost my wool hat. So I walks out of Sears, and then went back in, asked the lady at the eye glass section and she said they were not there, so I figured I must have left them at the Optometrist because they had to check to see if my eyes were fine and the hat was there. So I decided to have something to eat, and then went back to Sears to look at the piano keyboards. I walked home, after all when I was young and wore glasses for cross-eyed, my eyes were blurry but I still made it. Anyway I guess being on sale was not cheap enough for my husband. They do not give glasses for free, unless one is on welfare, do they?

And...

Keyboards
My question is do all computers have the American alphabet on their keyboards or do foreign countries have their alphabet on their computer's keyboards? Let me know what you think or what you know. Thanks.
