The Video Game Insanity
I have to confess I don’t understand the video game fanaticism I see going on these days. People are camping out for days, even weeks in some places, all for the honor of shelling out $600 for a game station. Now, as I understand it, most of the people standing in line simply turn around and sell the things on eBay for somewhere around $6,000. Is this the only reason? Is that really worth sleeping on concrete for six days in a row? Am I missing something here? Maybe it’s just that I am not a games guy. Sure, I have spent many hours playing games of all kinds on my life. I have played board games. I have had bursts where playing certain games ruled my life. I went through a period during my high school years when I wanted to play “Risk” all the time and played for hours with friends. I even had a brief moment of playing roll-playing games although I never got obsessed enough to then spend hours talking about my character in public like some people I knew back then. The thing it, games have just never held much power over me for the long-term. In fact, these days, I prefer to avoid them all-together.Not to sound too much like an old-fogey, but I can say I was...
Advantages of Five-Day week
A five-day week has been put into practice in China, which is welcomed by every-one. It is obvious that a five-day week has brought about many advantages to the society and people. First, families have benefited from it very much. They have more time to spend together or go for an outing during the weekend. Children are able to learn usefully skills, women have enough time to take care of the house, go shopping or relax. Second, society has also benefited from it. As people have two days off, they would like to go shopping or travelling, which can promote the commerce and tourism. Then the shops and travel agency will have more customers. Third, individuals have also enjoyed the benefit from the five-day week, because they have more time for whatever they are intersted in during the weekend. For example, one likes stamp collection, he will have enough time to enjoy it. What's more, individuals can make full use of a weekend for a good rest. Adequate rest will enable him to work more efficiently. In a word, a five-day week is beneficial to the society, families and individuals.

Special Residents in Whi te House
Pets have long kept our Presidents company. From George Washington's1 horse to Bill Clinton's dog and cat, these unelected White House residents have been among the most popular members of America's First Families. In addition to his love for animals, President Abraham Lincoln, our 16th President, was known for his giving spirit. He allowed his sons, Tad and Willie, to keep as many pets as they wished. The result was a menagerie2 that included rabbits, turkeys, horses, and even two goats, Nanny and Nanko. In fact, Nanny and Nanko even rode with President Lincoln in the Presidential carriage. One special animal in the Lincoln White House was Jack the turkey. Jack originally was on the Lincolns' dinner menu, but Tad became fond of the bird and pleaded with his father to spare Jack's life3. President Lincoln relented, and Jack became part of the Presidential household.4 On Election Day5 1864, while the Civil War raged close to Washington, D.C., a special booth was placed on the White

We are genealogist and have just started using DNA in some of the families we research. Well in one of the first families we did this for we found a identical match with another family. It means they have the DNA of another family. How would you feel about that? The family this happened to is very upset and doesn't want us to go any further, they don't want to know what generation this started in. The more we test DNA the more families are going to find these troubling facts. How would you handle it?
