| New Electronics? | | I remember when we had the atari, beta, when vcr's were new. I also first remember when cd's and dvd's first came out. Electronic are coming in and out of style so fast. My question is what is the newest electronic's that are out in market today? I can't keep up with them all. I would also like to know what they and how they work. Thanks | |
| | Recycling computers and electronics | | I was just watching a TV show on recycling computers. Most people do not recycle their old computers and these machines end up getting mixed with the rest of the garbage. The problem is that computers contain some materials that do not dissolve for years. There is a company here in Canada that specializes in destroying the equipment of other companies. Of course, such service is not free. The government of France imposed a few months ago a special tax that is meant to pay for recycling computers. This tax amounts to a tiny percentage of the price of computers and other commodities. Customers, then, need just to take their old computers, TVs,...to any electronics store. This latter is obliged to accept these machines and to forward them to a recycling center. I find this idea great. | |
| | Electronics & Planes?! | | As travel becomes more affordable and the cost of technology devices drop I find more and more passengers using electronics on airplanes. Should passengers be allowed to fly and use all of their electronic devices including cell phones, mp3 players, laptops, and gps devices.

| | Electronics | | what products, used by few today, will be essential in five years? | |
| | What is the future of computers and electronics in the next 50 years? | | I often wonder what the future holds for computer and electronic technology.
Oh, I can read about it online, and in magazines, but I'm wondering if there are any really unique concepts out there that may not be in the mainstream consciousness yet. I'm not talking about 200 years out, but how about in the next 50 years? For example, I think we can speculate that: WITHIN 50 YEARS:-Computers as we know them will disappear, and much smaller, "wearable" devices will become the norm.
-Homes will be (some already are) operated by computers, even remotely.
-Cars are already operated by computers, and that will grow considerably.
-"Electronic medicines" may evolve where a micro-mini computer is swallowed or implanted in strategic body locations, to supply the body with perfect medicinal doses.
-Micro machines will operate in nano-size, perhaps to perform delicate surgeries inside the body.
-Computer technology will evolve to "read" peoples' minds; i.e., they will be able to detect and analyze pheremones we give off, nervous energies we may emit, eye movements, facial expressions, other suspicious characteristics.Let's hear more!
| | electronics | | do u think todays generation uses electronics too much? i do every where we go u see people using ipods, mp3s and cell phones. i think we rely on them too much. what would we do if something happened to the electronics what would we do then? | |
| | | | | scope of electronics engineering | | present day world is d world of technology....in dis world their is incresing scope of both electronic devices as well as information technology.....
IT is required for implementation of latest technology electronic devices...........
so we can discuss their importance n applications
